چکیده مقاله:

PLGA is a synthetic copolymer of polylactic acid and polyglycolic acid, which is used in medicalapplications such as tissue grafts, surgical sutures, bone tissue engineering scaffolds and systems due to itsbiocompatibility, tunable degradation rate, mechanical properties, and thermal processability. drug carriershave been used. PLGA has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for human therapyand can be prepared in a variety of formulations such as membranes, scaffolds, hydrogels, nanoparticles,microparticles, and sponges. There are various commercial products of PLGA in the market. Despite the manyand valuable uses of this polymer, its manufacture has been faced with several critical challenges. The proposedcopolymer can be synthesized by various compression and ring opening methods. Considering the high cost oflactide as a precursor of this polymer and the lack of this substance in the country, in this work, we aimed tosynthesize PLGA through condensation polymerization of lactic acid and glycolic acid by optimization of thecondensation reaction conditions to achieve PLGA with controlled molecular weight and sequence
