Heterobimetallic complexes: structural characterization, and cytotoxic investigations

Some new heterometallic compounds were synthesized and characterized by means of variousanalytical and spectroscopic methods. Additionally, the biological activity (in vitro) of these complexes on humancancer cell lines, which are resistant to the available platinum-based drugs were evaluated. Some of theseheterometallic complexes were emissive, and this property was open a new avenue as a trackable metal-basedtherapeutic agent by fluorescence microscopy
