چکیده مقاله:

Plant phenolics and flavonoids have a great role in eliminating free radicals in the body and act asantioxidants. This research aims to determine the primary phytochemical content of total phenolics andflavonoids of differnet extracts of Hippophae rhamnoides from the Elaeagnaceae family. Total flavonoid contentwas measured using the aluminum chloride colorimetric method and total phenol content was measured byFolin-Ciocalteu assay. Then, the antioxidant activity of the extracts was assessed by DPPH method. According tothe obtained results, the highest level of inhibition of free radicals was related to the methanolic extract of thestem with an IC۵۰ value of ۱۶۶ μg/mL
