چکیده مقاله:

a series of polysubstituted imidazole-based coumarin derivatives have been synthesized byKnoevenagel reaction of polysubstituted imidazole-based salicylaldehydes with ethyl acetoacetate in thepresence of piperidine as catalyst. Polysubstituted imidazole-based salicylaldehydes were synthesized fromcorresponding polysubstituted imidazole-based phenols using hexamethylenetetramine via duff reaction. Thenewly synthesized compounds were confirmed by spectroscopic techniques and their optical properties werestudied by UV and fluorimetry spectroscopies
