Dyeing of wool fibers by aqueous extraction of Rhubarb stem using various mordants

Dyeing of wool fibers with aqueous extract of Rhubarb stem, was studied, using mordants. The extractshows an absorbance at λmax ۴۳۶ nm. The dyed fibers were examined in term of K/S and CIELAB color differencevalues. Different shades (K/S =۳.۷-۱۰.۹) and acceptable wash and light fastness were achieved.
