Application of CdS–ZnS quantum dots as sensitive fluorescence probe for detection ofcopper ion

The capped CdS-ZnS quantum dots were synthesized with various thiol capping agents of glycolic acid(TGA), mercaptosuccinic acid (MSA) and L-cysteine (LCY) and used as fluorescence probe for determination ofCu (II) ions. The limit of detection for CdS – ZnS@ QDs capped with TGA, MSA and LCY was obtained ۱.۱۵×۱۰-۷,of ۱.۳۲×۱۰-۷ and of ۲.۱۹×۱۰-۷ mol L-۱ respectively with linear dynamic range of ۳.۱۳×۱۰-۶ mol L-۱ to ۱.۴۱×۱۰-۴ molL-۱.
