Design and Synthesis of -hydroxyalkyl benzymidazolyl thioethers as PotentialTherapeutic Agents

This paper describes the design and synthesis of novel -hydroxyalkyl benzymidazolyl thioethers.The compounds were synthesized by coupling ۲-mercaptobenzimidazole with the desired epoxides. Due to theknown beneficial biological properties of benzimidazole derivatives, it is anticipated that these conjugatecompounds may exhibit promising therapeutic properties
