Synthesis, Characterization & single-crystal X-ray Diffraction Studies of a New Co(II)carboxamide Complex

The new Co(II) complex, {[Co(PZCA)۲](NO۳)۲}n, containing pyrazine-۲-carboxamide (PZCA) ligand havebeen synthesized. The complex characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-raydiffraction. According to the crystal data, this complex crystallizes in the space group P۲۱/a of the monoclinicsystem and contains six molecules per unit cell. The unit cell dimensions are a=۹.۹۲۱۱(۱۷)Å, b=۱۵.۷۱۴(۴)Å,c=۱۰.۵۰۶(۲)Å and β=۹۷.۳۳۰(۱۵)°.
