چکیده مقاله:

This paper is devoted to an investigation carried out on the essential oils of air-dried leaves of fourspecies of Thymus Sp.: Thymus. Persicus, Thymus Eriocalyx, Thymus daenensis subsp. Daenensis, and Thymusserpyllum L growing wild in the western part of Iran. The essential oil of species were obtained through hydrodistillationprocess and analyzed by using GC and GC/MS methods. The four species were compared todetermine the similarities and differences among their volatile chemical compositions. Sixty-five compoundsrepresenting ۹۸.۰۵%, ۸۹.۷۰%, ۹۶.۴۵% and ۹۳.۰۸% of essential oils were identified respectively. The majorconstituents noted were as Thymus daenensis subsp. Daenensis: Trans Ocimene (۶.۶۲%), ۱, ۸ Cineole (۶.۱۷%),cis sabinene hydrate (۹.۲%), (۱۳.۱۸%), Thymol (۵%), Caervacrol (۱۲.۳۸%), β-Carryophyllene (۴.۲۶%).Th.Eriocalyx: ۱-Borneol (۱۰.۴۶%), Thymol (۶۶.۳۴%), Carvacrol (۷.۵%) Th.Percicus: ۱,۸-Cineole (۵.۲۴%),Limonene (۱۱.۶۲%), γ-Terpinene (۵.۶۳%), trans_Sabinene hydrate (۷.۷۸%), Thymol (۱۰.۳۸%), Carvacrol(۲۵.۷۱%) .Th.Serpyllium: α-Pinene (۱۲.۲%), Thymol (۷.۳۹%), Carvacrol (۱۴.۹۴%).
