Hydro-finishing plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of Poly-alpha-olefin oils, leading toimprove oxidation resistance and enhanced oil transparency. Specifically, to optimize efficiency in supportingthe immobilization of Pd nanoparticles, a novel catalyst incorporating ۱,۳-diaminopropane and isatoicanhydride is employed for decorating the outer surface of halloysite. The resultant catalytic systemdemonstrates efficient activity in the hydrogenation of PAOs, with computational analysis suggesting that thecatalytic process attains a high yield using ۵ wt. % catalysts at a hydrogen pressure of ۸ bar and a temperatureof ۱۳۰ °C.
