Complexes [PtAr(C^N)(S)] (Ar = C۶F۵, and p–MeC۶H۴; C^N = benzoquinoline, bzq, ۲-phenylpyridine, ppy,and ۲-(۲,۴-difluorophenylpyridine), dfppy; S = dmso, and SMe۲) were reacted with various thiopyridine ligandsto afford complexes [PtAr(C^N)(Spy)] (Spy = ۲-pyridinethione, ۲-Spy, ۵-(trifluoromethyl)-۲-pyridinethione,SpyCF۳-۵, and ۴-pyridinethione, ۴-Spy. These complexes were thoroughly characterized using NMRspectroscopy, and their stability in solution was investigated
