Aqueous-mediated synthesis of pyrano[۲,۳-d]pyrimidine derivatives catalyzed by a novelmorpholinium-based acidic ionic liquid

A green synthetic route for the preparation of pyrano[۲,۳-d]pyrimidine derivatives via threecomponentreaction between malononitrile, barbituric acid, and different aldehydes catalyzed by a new acidicionic liquid based on morpholine has been established. The structure of the acidic ionic liquid and productswas characterized using ¹H-NMR, ¹۳C-NMR, and FT-IR.
