Environment friendly dry cleaning methods using high-pressure CO(2)

Nowadays, the most usable solvent in textile dry cleaning includes chlorine solvent such as perchloroethylene (PEC), whichhas several dangerous impacts on human hygiene and environment. In recent years, researchers try to find a proper solvent as an alternative for chlorine solvent. One of the most proper one is using high-pressure CO2 instead of chlorine solvent. As you know, this solvent has less positive effects in compare with other solvents but it can improve efficiency of CO2 in dry cleaning process. In this article, we reviewedthe application ofperchloroethyleneas an eco-friendly approach for dry cleaning and evaluated the efficiency of PEC comparing with common solvent.
