This paper critically analyzes Antonio Damasio's perspective to investigate the convergence of emotions, body maps, and personal identity in film. It begins by highlighting the significance of studying these elements in the realm of cinema and confirming their profound impact on storytelling and audience engagement. Damasio's viewpoint, rooted in neuroscience, provides a framework for understanding the intricate interplay between emotions, body maps, and personal identity. It delves into analyzing the influence of emotions in films, the representation and embodiment of body map experiences, and the construction and transformation of personal identity in cinematic narratives. The strengths and limitations of Damasio's perspective are critically evaluated by considering potential gaps and alternative theories that complement his ideas. The application and relevance of Damasio's perspective in the analysis and interpretation of films are discussed, emphasizing its contribution to comprehending the representation of personal identity in cinema. Furthermore, the future implications of research and a broader understanding of these concepts in the field of film are examined, highlighting the need for interdisciplinary approaches and the integration of alternative viewpoints
