چکیده مقاله:

Background and purpose: Mass media has a great influence on the thoughts and beliefs of a large number of people, and the role and importance of such media have been discussed and mentioned in various sources. The purpose of the current research was to investigate the role of mass media in preventing women's crimes, including the crime of criminal abortion.Methodology: The method of carrying out this descriptive-analytical research is the type of library studies, which was done by referring to jurisprudence books, criminal laws and other existing laws, and articles and medical journals available in citation databases such as Google, Noormags, etc.Findings: The findings of the research indicate that mass media includes social media and mass media, and social networks and virtual space are considered a type of mass media, and even in some cases it can be said that it has had a greater impact and role than mass media. We examined these media in the crime of criminal abortion.Conclusion: The results of the research show that the mass media is an effective and powerful tool to influence people's beliefs, thoughts and views, which can raise the awareness of human beings through various ways such as providing educational programs, counseling, psychotherapy, psychology, etc. provide and sometimes be effective in preventing crimes.
