Stigma against health care providers, caring for COVID- ۱۹ patients in Iran

چکیده مقاله:

This study is a cross-sectional study, which ۵۲۷, people using simple random sampling. Stigma scale consisted of ۱۸ items. The ۱۸ items of the stigma scale used in the current study that were adapted from Verma et al. had a Cronbach’s alpha of ۰.۹۰۶, suggesting high internal consistency.The questionnaire used in this project is a ۱۸ item-question that includes general and demographic questions and stigma questions of service providers regarding patients with Covid-۱۹. SPSS version ۲۵ statistical software was used for data analysis along with descriptive statistics and independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), or chi-score. Result Participants were in the age group of ۲۰-۳۰ years, ۲۹۷ people (۶۰.۲ percent) female; ۲۸۸  (۵۷.۵%  nurses, and ۳۷.۹% had less than ۵ years experience. The least concern of the ۵۹ participants (۱۱.۵%) was related to the time of taking blood from a corona patient and the most concern was related to touching the patient's clothes. Conclusion: In this study, HCWs different attitudes toward the reason of corona infected due to Irresponsible behaviors of patients were statistically significant. Although, they are highly motivated to care for COVID-۱۹ patients. Educational and awareness programs may have an important role in the reduction of stigmatization problems.
