ADHD disorder has adverse effects on individuals and society, and third-wave cognitive-behavioral therapies are promising treatments for this disorder. The present study aims to compare the efficacy of DBT and ACT on interpersonal relationships and self-efficacy of adults with ADHD.:The present study was of a multi-group pre-test post-test design, and its statistical population consisted of all Azad University of Zanjan students in the year ۱۳۹۷-۹۸. ۴۵ students were chosen among ۸۰۰۰ students using convenience sampling and allocated to two experiment and control groups (۱۵ people for each group). Experiment groups received DBT and ACT. The Adult ADHD Self-report Scale (ASRS), Sherer’s Self-Efficacy Scale, and The Interpersonal Relationship Skills Test were used for data collection. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, mean, standard deviation, and percentage were used to analyze data, and for inferential analysis of data, MANOVA was used. LSD was used to compare the efficacy of treatment, and data were analyzed in SPSS ۲۵. Data analysis showed that both ACT and DBT treatments were effective for interpersonal relationships and self-efficacy (P<۰.۰۰۱). At the comparison level, the results of the LSD test to compare the efficacy of the two treatments showed that ACT is more effective in improving interpersonal relationships and self-efficacy. ACT increases self-acceptance and a healthier attitude through cognitive flexibility, mindfulness, non-judgmental acceptance, and concentrating on the present moment.
