چکیده مقاله:

By the advent of time the transition from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources becomes more important by the year. This research article examines the suitability of various renewable energy technologies for Iran's southern coastal waters. The study begins by introducing the latest renewable energy technologies employed in maritime regions and then providing an overview of Iran's coastal waters. The literature review approach was employed to gather and aggregate data from previous studies. The study aimed to determine which renewable energy methods and technologies would be compatible with that region. The findings indicate that thermal conversion and salinity gradient options are not viable while kinetic ocean energy has the potential to generate substantial amounts of power, it remains technologically behind wind and solar energy. As a result, the research recommends solar and wind renewable technologies as short-term alternatives for energy production while advocating for continued research and infrastructure development for wave and tidal technologies for the long term.
