چکیده مقاله:

The sustainability and resilience of concrete structures have gained significant interest in recentdecades. Concerns about greenhouse gas emissions associated with cement production and the vulnerabilityof non-ductile concrete systems to extreme loadings such as seismic effects have motivated numerousresearch activities. Protecting reinforced, post-tensioned, and prestressed concrete systems from earthquakedamage directly contributes to preserving natural resources and reducing the environmental footprints ofbuildings and other structures. Protection mechanisms involve seismic energy control, global stiffnessreduction, restoring force adjustment, fail-safe technologies, and post-earthquake realignment and repairs. This paper discusses sustainable sources of ductility for concrete materials and offers solutions to combinemoment-resisting frames of uniform response and hybrid rigid rocking cores. Resulted closed-formformulations introduce two new structural components of replaceable energy dissipation momentconnection and energy dissipating grade beams for concrete systems.
