Investigating the impact of technology on renewableelectricity energy consumption in Iran

The impact of technology on energy consumptionis one of the most challenging issues in the field of energyeconomy policy. Economic complexity is a standard forcalculating the level of technology in a country. Technologyprovides an opportunity for the economy to move from polluting,non-renewable sources of energy to renewable sources of energy.In this study, the effect of economic complexity on theconsumption of renewable electric energy (including electric,wind, solar and biomass energy) in Iran during the period of۲۰۰۰-۲۰۲۰ has been analyzed using the GMM method. Theresults of this research show that the economic complexity indexaffects the development of renewable electric energyconsumption. In this research, the openness of trade has had apositive effect on the consumption of renewable electrical energy.The consumption of renewable electrical energy has a positiverelationship with the level of income
