چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and sense of psychological coherence with psychological well-being and marital satisfaction. The method of this research was descriptive correlation type. The statistical population of this study included married women in Mashhad in ۲۰۱۷, and ۲۰۰ of whom were selected by available sampling. In order to collect data, the questionnaires of Toronto alexithymia, Antonowski's sense of psychological coherence, Wells's metacognitive beliefs, Riff's psychological well-being, and Afrooz's marital satisfaction were used. Pearson's correlation test and path analysis method were used to perform statistical data analysis. The findings indicated that alexithymia plays a mediating role in the relationship between metacognitive beliefs and sense of psychological coherence with psychological well-being and marital satisfaction. Also, there is a significant positive relationship between the level of psychological coherence with psychological well-being and the level of psychological coherence with marital satisfaction, and there is a significant negative relationship between the degree of metacognitive beliefs and psychological well-being, between the degree of alexithymia with psychological well-being, and between the level of alexithymia with marital satisfaction. The results of the studies showed that metacognitive beliefs and sense of psychological coherence directly and indirectly have a significant relationship with psychological well-being and marital satisfaction and can predict them. Also, negative metacognitive beliefs cause a person to not have a correct understanding of his emotions and feelings, and as a result, he cannot distinguish them well from each other, and this causes alexithymia and emotions and feelings are interpreted in a bad way. This can lead to a decrease in psychological well-being
