چکیده مقاله:

Green architecture refers to buildings that use green materials and green technologies (materials that can be returned to the natural cycle) and reduce their negative effects on the surrounding environment. Preservation and protection of the world's natural resources, immunity from air pollution and other environmental pollution, protection of the ozone layer, physical and mental health, and the future of humanity are some of the issues that have been discussed in this regard, and its necessity as a global duty is becoming more obvious day by day. According to the studies, the ancient architecture of Iran has been faithful to the principles of sustainability. At least from the principles of Iranian architecture, self-sufficiency and avoidance of futility can be considered compatible with sustainable (green) architecture, and this means that Iran's architecture was created long before the world thought of a new approach to architecture. However, now it should be seen how and at what level of development is the course of development and application of green architecture in Iran and other countries of the world. Therefore, this article, which is based on descriptive and analytical library studies and practical and applied studies, has tried to investigate the extent of the use of green architecture in Iran and compare it with developed countries, as well as its effects on the lives of residents.
