چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: One of the primary reasons for the recent decline in vaccination coverage and the subsequentresurgence of infectious illnesses is vaccine hesitancy. We thus looked at the reasons behind children's vaccinehesitancy. Methods: From June to October ۲۰۲۲, a cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was carried out at ۲۷comprehensive health service centers in Isfahan City. Iranian families residing in Isfahan who failed to vaccinatetheir children by the deadline were included in this study. After the researcher confirmed the validity andreliability of the questionnaire both in person and over the phone, data on children's vaccine hesitation wasgathered. The moms signed an informed consent form. The data were analyzed using a generalized linear model, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and independent T-tests.Results: Of the ۲۹۸ families participating in the study, ۳۴.۳% refused and ۶۵.۷% delayed vaccinating theirchild. The child's illness at the time of the injection (۵۷.۳%), the belief that vaccination is not required to avoidrare diseases (۴۹%), and the fear of serious adverse effects from the vaccine (۴۸.۷%) all contributed to thereluctance to vaccinate. Compared to other groups, moms with bachelor's degrees and families living less thanone kilometer from the health facility exhibit much lower vaccine hesitation. Furthermore, vaccine hesitancywas linked to vaccinations administered at birth, four, six, twelve, eighteen months of age, and six years of age. Conclusion: The most frequent causes of vaccine hesitancy were children's illness at the time of immunization, the conviction that vaccination is not necessary to prevent rare diseases, and the fear of serious effects. Themother's level of education, the distance to the health facility, and the kind of vaccine were linked to vaccinehesitancy.
