چکیده مقاله:
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVESUrinary tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common hospital infections resulted from uropathogenic Ecoli colonization in host musocal epithellium and damages to host tissue. The ability to constitute biofilm plays an important role in virulence of the bacteria. The present study was conducted with the aim of tracking common uropathogenic Escherichia coli serogroups causing urinary tract infection in diabetic patients.MATERIALS AND METHODSIn this research ۵۱ Ecoli isolations of diabetic patients having UTI symptoms collected and approved using biochemical tests and molecular technique to identify common serogroups of uropathogenic Ecoli polymerase chain reaction (PCR) done using primer pairs.RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONIn this research, the highest frequency was related to serogroup O۲۵, which was detected in ۱۶ isolates (۳۱.۳۷%). Serogroup O۱۵ ranked second after serogroup O۲۵, so that it was reported in ۱۲ isolates (۲۳.۵۲%). After serogroups O۱۵ and O۲۵, serogroup O۶ had the highest frequency, so that it was reported in ۸ isolates (۱۵.۶۸%).CONCLUSIONThe results of this research and comparing it with the results of other researchers show that the common serogroups of urinary tract infections in people with diabetes are similar to other people, identifying these serogroups can help control and prevent urinary tract infections.
