چکیده مقاله:

Background and Objectives: Investigation of the association between body mass index (BMI) and nactural enorisia (NA) in children is one of the most important topics for researchers in the field of pediatric nephrology. The aim of this study was to compare the BMI of children aged ۵ to ۱۲ years who had NA with healthy children referred to the pediatric clinic of Afzalipour Hospital in Kerman in ۲۰۲۰.Methods: This case-control study was performed on ۳۰۰ children in two groups of NA (N = ۱۵۰) and healthy children (N = ۱۵۰). BMI was calculated from the formula: Weight (kg) / Height (m۲). Data were analyzed by SPSS۲۵ software and Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistical tests, independent t-test, chi-square (chi-square) were used. Results: The results showed that the frequency of obesity in the present study was ۷.۲%. The prevalence of obesity and overweight was significantly higher in the NA group (P <۰.۰۵).Conclusion: According to the results, it is necessary for overweight and obese children to be evaluated for NA. Also, by controlling the weight of children, the incidence of NA can be significantly reduced. It is suggested that additional research be conducted at a higher sample size and over a longer period of time.
