چکیده مقاله:
The Internet of Things (IoT) has become increasingly popular among both businesses and consumers and thus, its number of users is steadily growing. Moving this technology toward being environmentally friendly is essential because of the rise in devices that consume energy in any manner and impact the environment. The concept of green loT has been developed in this regard to optimize IoT ecosystems to minimize their environmental harm. This article focuses on the IoT network part. which includes a large and growing number of different devices. and their connections to the Internet. In this study, energy solutions at the network level of an IoT system are categorized into two groups. At first, solutions aimed at reducing the energy. consumption of network components are reviewed. In order to fully cover these solutions, they have been investigated from the viewpoint of different working modes of network nodes, including sending٫receiving signal mode, sensing and processing mode, idle mode, and sleep mode. Alongside energy conservation strategies, the replacement of fossil energy sources with green ones is investigated, which contributes to less environmental damage, and its use together with wireless power transfer enhances the lifespan. of the IoT system
