چکیده مقاله:
The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of meaning therapy and metacognitive therapy on the self-esteem of Islamic Azad University students in Shiraz. The present research method was semi-experimental. The statistical population was the students of Shiraz Azad University. ۶۰ people were randomly selected using the purposeful sampling method and placed in three groups of logo therapy, metacognitive therapy and control. The data collection tool was Eysenck's self-esteem questionnaire. The research design was a semi-experimental type of pre-test and post-test with a control group and a follow-up phase. The experimental groups underwent logo therapy (۱۰ sessions of ۴۵ minutes) and metacognitive therapy (۱۰ sessions of ۴۵ minutes), and after three months, the follow-up phase was performed. ANCOVA and ANOVA tests were used to analyze the data. The results of the research showed that group logo therapy has a significant effect on the self-esteem of the research samples. It was also found that group metacognitive therapy has a significant effect on the self-esteem of the research samples. It was also found that group logo therapy has a more obvious role in improving the self-esteem of research samples compared to group metacognitive therapy. In a nutshell, it can be said that both treatments were effective in improving self-esteem. Therefore, it is suggested that the trustees of higher education take advantage of the psychological forces in the higher education staff.
