THE EFFECT OF NONUNIFORM WALL TEMPERATURE ON EDDY DIFFUSIVITY IN TURBULENT NATURAL CONVECTION

The turbulent eddy diffusivity for natural convection boundary layer next to a heated vertical plate with variable surface temperature is analyzed. The solution has been obtained by the profile method whose velocity and temperature profiles are given by experiments. The use of profile method for velocity leads turbulent eddy diffusivity distributions that are in close agreement with experimental data. Solution using integral method are obtained for surface temperature T(x) - T = ax .
