A review on the effect of risk factors for Alzheimer'sdisease and cognitive aging

The aging process is known as the main driving force of forgetfulness and the progression ofAlzheimer's disease, but the relationship between brain aging and Alzheimer's disease is stillunclear. Neurodegenerative diseases are associated with enormous socioeconomic and personalcosts. Brain aging is a major risk factor for many neurodegenerative diseases, but the underlyingmechanisms of the transition from normal aging to neurodegenerative disorders are complexand not yet fully elucidated. Marked signs of brain aging have been linked to the pathogenesisof neurodegenerative diseases, which are more common in older populations, leading to thehypothesis that neurodegeneration accelerates brain aging. Here, we summarize the knownassociations of Alzheimer's with biological signs and Understanding of the central biologicalmechanisms that underlie aging has been explored.
