چکیده مقاله:

The factors affecting the incidence of breast cancer are highly variable. The highprevalence of overweight and obesity inappropriate lifestyle and socio-economicstatus are associated with breast cancer. Therefore this study investigatesmorbidity mortality and association of breast cancer with Body Mass Index (BMI)and Human Development Index (HDI) in the Asian countries. Methods: The study is based on the data acquired from the World Cancer Bankand World Bank (including HDI and its components). In this population-basedstudy we estimated the Population Attribution Frequency (PAF) by using the BMIin adult communities. The prevalence mortality rates and distribution maps forbreast cancer were extracted for different countries. Correlation and regressiontests were used to analyze the data and examine the relationship between theprevalence and mortality with HDI. The statistical analysis of data was performedby Stata-۱۴ and the significance level was considered as ۰.۰۵.Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlationbetween the incidence of breast cancer associated with the BMI and HDI(R=۰.۳۷۱ p<۰.۰۵). On the other hand our findings showed that the higher thedevelopmental index the greater the percentage of breast cancer preventionassociated with BMI. Moreover there is a positive and significant correlationbetween the prevention and HDI (p=۰.۵۲۲ p<۰.۰۵).Conclusions: Obesity increases the likelihood of fatal cancer types and theirrecurrence including BC. The risk of breast cancer in developed and developingcountries including the Asian countries is increasing. Therefore the modificationof breast cancer risk factors needs to be emphasized to prevent it.
