چکیده مقاله:
One of the serious problems of the future of word is the problem of water shortage. In some countries, especially Iran, considering the drought and limited water resources, the necessity of water recycling is felt. The disposal of nitrogen-containing dairy industry effluent causes eutrophication of surface water resources in the environment, which is considered a serious challenge for the environment. Normally, anaerobic, and aerobic biological methods are used sequentially in the wastewater treatment of dairy industries. In this research, the method of filtration with a sludge bed with an up flow has been investigated. Performance and efficiency of this method was done by regularly measuring different concentrations of nitrogen and sampling from the inlet, anaerobic, aerobic and outlet points at different flow rates. The results of nitrogen concentration in different parts of the pilot in each flow rates and hydraulic retention times showed that the filtration method with an up flow sludge bed can remove about ۸۰% of nitrogen and can be an effective method for treatment of dairy wastewater contain high nitrogen compounds.
