In this research, the effect of modulus of elasticity on seismic performance ofconcrete gravity dam is investigated using probabilistic analysis. In order topropagate the parametric sensitivity to the seismic performance of the system,Monte Carlo simulation with Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) is used as aprobabilistic simulation and uncertainty analysis. For this study, a twodimensional Koyna concrete gravity dam was investigated by applying North -Ridge earthquake considering reservoir - dam - foundation interaction. Acomputer program for modelling and analysis is written in Ansys software. Inthis paper, the sensitivity of response under seismic loading is reliably examinedutilizing different values of young modulus inputs. The maximum value ofhorizontal displacement of dam crest, ۱st principle stress at heel and ۳rdprinciple stress at toe of dam are considered as output parameters in theprobabilistic analysis. Finally, the sensitivity of the output parameters againstinputted random variables are investigated, and obtained results by means ofcurves are interpreted.
