Proper performance of medical staff during crises can be effective in reducing its consequences and saving people's lives and reducing morbidity. Therefore, the present study was conducted to investigate the knowledge and practice of nurses towards crisis management. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on ۱۵۰ nurses of one of the hospitals of Qom University of Medical Sciences in ۲۰۲۱. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and central statistics and regression was performed using spss۱۳ software. Results: About ۶۰% of the staff were women. The mean age of nurses was ۳۰±۱.۷. Their average work experience was ۱۲ years. More than ۹۰% of the people were nursing experts. ۵۳% of them were married. The mean score of nurses' knowledge was ۱۷.۲ ± ۱.۱ (۰-۲۰) and the mean score of their performance was ۱۴.۳ ± ۰.۶ (۰-۲۰). Based on the results of regression, the work experience of individuals and their ages were among the factors affecting the knowledge and practice of nurses. Conclusions: The level of knowledge and practice of nurses was high. People with more work experience and older age had better awareness and performance. Therefore, it is recommended that managers pay more attention to the theoretical and practical educational planning of the crisis and the necessary measures for people with younger age and less work experience.
