چکیده مقاله:
In December ۲۰۱۹, a pandemic of an unknown respiratory virus emerged in Wuhan, China, putting the whole world in crisis; a newly emerged coronavirus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus ۲ (SARS-CoV-۲). In this study, we evaluated the clinical characteristics and laboratory findings of patients with coronavirus disease ۲۰۱۹ (COVID-۱۹) in the North of Iran. Demographical data and clinical characteristics of ۱۲۶ patients with COVID-۱۹ in Razi Hospital, Rasht, Iran, were recorded. The mean age of patients was ۶۲ years old and ۵۷.۱% of cases were male. About ۱۷.۵% of patients had direct contact with a SARS-CoV-۲-infected patient. The most common underlying diseases were lung diseases (۱۱.۹%), diabetes (۱۱.۹%), cardiovascular disease (CVD) (۷.۱%), and hypertension (۴.۸%). The mean levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatine phosphokinase (CPK), creatine kinase MB (CK-MB), serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT), and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) (۱۲۳۱.۷۹±۸۶۶.۴۸ U/L, ۷۶۶.۸۸±۲۲۸۸.۶۸ U/L, ۵۹.۲±۵۵.۱۸ U/L, ۱۱۲.۲۸±۲۱۳.۰۷ U/L, and ۶۷.۶۱±۳۱.۰۷ mm/hr, respectively) were remarkably higher than the normal ranges. Also, the average O۲ Saturation (O۲Sat) was ۶۱.۴۲±۲۶.۳۷%. Male gender, advanced age, a history of underlying diseases, higher level of cardiac enzymes, and lower level of O۲Sat were associated with severity in patients with COVID-۱۹.
