چکیده مقاله:

This case study examines the use of a mind-mapping technique for exploring the intra-individual experiences of a tennis player after undergoing surgery to reconstruct an external epicondylitis injury. The mind-mapping technique involves visual organization and expansion of intra-individual experiences related to a better understanding of cognitive-emotional experiences, which is often displayed by a graphic image. This method provides a basis for the structured study of mental processes. The result showed that the decision to start practicing after the recovery phase was accompanied by dysfunctional cognitive-emotional experiences such as anxiety, reduced self-confidence, and an emotional rollercoaster. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of using personalized psychological interventions for injured athletes to daily unique internal experiences to improve the quality of the injury treatment process and returning to practice.
