One-pot Synthesis of Some Novel ۲-[(Z)-۱-(Aryl)]-۶,۷-dihydro-۲H-istohiazolo[۲,۳-a]pyrimidine-۳(۵H)-one Derivatives

Reaction of ۳,۴,۵,۶-tetrahydro-۲-pyrimidinethiol, prepared by cyclocondensation reaction of ۱,۳-diamino propane ۱ and carbon disulfide, with ethyl chloroacetate and substituted aromatic aldehydes in the presence of sodium acetate and acetic acid gave ۲-[(Z)-۱-(aryl)]-۶,۷-dihydro-۲H-isothiazolo[۲,۳-a]pyrimidine-۳(۵H)-one derivatives ۳(a-j) in good yields. ۱H-NMR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis were used for identification of these compounds.
