The Influence of Social Factors on the Use of Old Lori Words in Khorram Abad: A Sociolinguistic Study

This study aims to investigate the influence of social factors such as social class, age, and sex on the use of old Lori words in speech among people of Khorram Abad. The research assumes that differences exist in the ways individuals from the same city use old Lori words, even while speaking the same language. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to analyze the data collected from interviews with participants from different age groups, sexes, and social classes. The results reveal that social class plays a significant role in the use of old Lori words, but age can also be a determining factor under certain circumstances. The study highlights the importance of socio-cultural linguistic research in understanding the relationship between social factors and language use. It also emphasizes the need for further research in different parts of Iran to advance the field of sociolinguistics.
