چکیده مقاله:

This study analyzes the gender components in selected artworks by Iranian artists through the lens of Linda Nochlin's approach to feminist art history. The aim of the study is to identify patterns and themes in gender representation in contemporary Iranian art and compare them to Nochlin's analysis of gender in art. A qualitative methodology was employed to analyze the artworks, which were selected based on their relevance to the research question. The findings show that Iranian artists are challenging gender norms and stereotypes through their artworks, which often address issues such as gender inequality, sexuality, and identity. The analysis also reveals that Iranian artists incorporate elements of traditional Iranian art and Islamic culture into their works, creating a unique fusion of modern and traditional styles. This study highlights the contributions of contemporary Iranian art to feminist art history. However, the limitations of the study include the small sample size and the potential biases in the selection of artworks. Future research could expand the sample size and include more diverse perspectives. The implications of this study are significant for the advancement of feminist art history and the promotion of gender equality in the arts.
