چکیده مقاله:

Titanium dioxide (TiO۲) has attracted increasing attention as a candidate for the photocatalyticreduction of carbon dioxide (CO۲) to convert anthropogenic CO۲ gas into fuels combined with storageof intermittent and renewable solar energy in forms of chemical bonds for closing the carbon cycle.Herein, a ternary heterojunction nanophotocatalyst of Zn۲TiO۴-TiO۲(Anatase)-TiO۲(Rutile) is designedfor photocatalytic CO۲ reduction. The nanophotocatalyst has been characterized by XRD and FESEManalysis. Also gas chromatographic analysis indicated the formation of methanol. The improvedphotocatalytic performance can be attributed to the inhibited recombination of photogenerated chargecarriers induced by ternary heterojunction. In this study we produced ۴۱.۲ μmole/g methanol in ۸ hoursfor ۱ g/L of Zn۲TiO۴-TiO۲(Anatase)-TiO۲(Rutile) nanophotocatalyst at atmospheric pressure and roomtemperature.
