An Introduction to morphology and structural origin of warty-like rock protrusions in flysches of southeastern Iran (Khash area)

Flysches of southeastern Iran have special structural features. One of the characteristic is the presence of warty-like rock protrusions that can be seen in many southeastern regions of Iran. Their height varies from less than one meter to tens of meters in relation to the surrounding environment. They are very diverse in terms of lithology and igneous, calcareous and sandstone blocks can be seen the most. Their formation environment is active tectonic environments that have been effective at the same time as sedimentation. The difference in resistance of the host blocks and rocks and the effect of differential erosion have caused the current protrusions and protrusions.
