چکیده مقاله:

Subcooled flow boiling heat transfer of Al۲O۳/H۲O andCuO/H۲O nanofluids in porous metal foam tube isexperimentally investigated. The effect of using metalfoam and nanofluids on heat transfer rate by comparingits results with the results of a simple tube has beendone. The role of mass flux, heat flux, subcooled inlettemperature, type of particles, and their concentration asimportant parameters on HTC have been investigated.The use of nanofluids in metal foams compared to plaintube increases the heat transfer rate by ۳.۵-۵.۸ times.Also, the results show that the HTC of water is higherthan of Al۲O۳/H۲O and CuO/H۲O nanofluids. Theaverage HTC of CuO/H۲O is more than that ofAl۲O۳/H۲O. Besides, the thermal performance index ofAl۲O۳/H۲O and CuO/H۲O nanofluids is less than one.Hence, in the case of subcooled flow boiling inside ametal foam tube, the nanofluids are not properreplacements for water.
