This research introduces a hybrid system containing HDH and DSSC integrated with building equipped with a wind tower in arid region to produce freshwater and power. The proposed hybrid system utilizes the humid and hot air rejected from the building after providing the comfort thermal condition. To increase the performance of the DSSC, the heat generated in the panels is used to increase the temperatures of saline water and air in HDH to improve the freshwater production. Th thermodynamic, economic and environmental criteria of the proposed hybrid system are evaluated using exergy, exergoeconomic and carbon footprint concepts under the climate condition of Yazd, Iran.The effect of design parameters on the system’s performance is investigated. It is found that the system delivers the maximum energy and exergy efficiencies of ۱۶.۰۷% and ۱۶.۲۳%, respectively at DSSC tilt angle of ۶۰o while the minimum cost and CO۲ emission rates of ۱.۰۸۴ $/month and ۹.۶۲۳ kgCO۲/month are calculated at minimum dehumidification effectiveness of ۰.۱.
