چکیده مقاله:

Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) are a group of disorders that cause the death of neurons, oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, axons, and nerve cell interactions. These diseases cause a variety ofsymptoms, including impaired movement, memory loss, and behavioral changes. Often, currenttreatments are ineffective, and as the disease progresses, death occurs. The advancement of cellulartherapies appears to have opened up a new horizon in the treatment of these diseases. This is becausestem cells (SCs) have the ability to restore damaged neuronal tissue by either regenerating lost withdifferentiated cells, creating an environment that promotes regeneration, or shielding already healthyneurons and glial cells from additional harm. This paper is a review focused on the fundamentals andgeneral strategies of cell therapy for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD),Parkinson’s disease (PD), and multiple sclerosis (MS).
