چکیده مقاله:
The hydrogen evolution reaction is one of the clean and sustainable methods of hydrogenproduction, which has many advantages over conventional hydrogen production processes. The development of the hydrogen evolution reaction depends on the construction of cost-effective andactive and stable electrocatalysts that can reduce the energy consumption of this method and subsequently the price of hydrogen produced. One of the best methods of hydrogen production iswater splitting. This reaction consists of two main half-reactions: hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER), Utilizing a suitable electrocatalyst is crucial in thequality of occurring these half-reactions. Transition metals based materials with high abundance and low price have shown significant performance in HER electrocatalysts [۱]. On the other hand, carbon materials are suitable candidates for making electrocatalysts for hydrogen productionreactions due to their high conductivity, Cost-effective, availability, and environmental friendliness[۲]. Therefore, in this research, the main goal is to synthesize an electrocatalyst without using precious metals in the process of water electrolysis to produce hydrogen. In this work, graphene oxide (GO) material was prepared from synthetic graphite powder using the modified Hummers method and then Nickel phosphide (Ni۲P) and nickel phosphide combined with Reduced GrapheneOxide (Ni۲P/RGO) by gas-solid reaction synthesis method as effective electrocatalysts in the process of electrolysis of water to produce hydrogen was prepared.
