Thekeywords used are Probiotics, Colorectal Cancer, and Microbiota and reviewed articles arefrom ۲۰۱۵ to November ۲۰۲۲. Also, the references have been reviewed to ensure thecompleteness of the search results. After checking the quality of the articles, the findings were entered in the checklist. Results: Studies shows that supplemental probiotics in patients with colorectal cancer improvetheir quality of life and increase their gut microbiota. It also reduced the complications causedby the operation and produced pre-inflammatory cytokines. Also, the use of some probiotics inthe observation of patients with colorectal cancer reduces the side effects of chemotherapy andimproves the results of surgery. Probiotics reduce the duration of diarrhea and fever, althoughthis may be a rare source, but no mortality can be attributed. Common probiotic bacteria in allreviewed studies are Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus. Conclusion: Probiotics are useful in colorectal cancer patients regardless of cancer stage.Probiotics can be used in primary health care as a treatment for colon cancer, especially in theearly stages. Due to the small number of studies in this field, larger clinical trials or acombination of probiotics are needed to investigate the effectiveness, dosage, and interactionswith chemotherapy agents.
