Religious Journey as Spiritual Development: A Comparative Analysis of Attar`s Mantiq al tayr and John Bunyan`s Pilgrim’s Progress

The present article concent rates on Attar's Mantiq al tayr and John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress as a mode of comparative analysis. Both Attar and Bunyan have experienced spiritual growth in their lives. Despite the fact that literary works mentioned above are written in almost five centuries apart, they both represent common concepts as well as the similar religious journey and spiritual development.
