چکیده مقاله:

Greenhouse experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of oat plant on removal of petroleum hydrocarbons in soil (TPHs). Treatments consisted of three TPHs levels (۴, ۶, and ۸ % w/w) at three replications. Results showed that shoot and root dry weight of oat decreased significantly at ۶ and ۸% levels of petroleum hydrocarbons as compared to ۴% contamination level. The removal of petroleum hydrocarbons rates significantly increased by about ۲۸.۸۵ and ۲۷.۰۳% in soil cultivated by oat as compared to non-planted soil, respectively. The mathematical model was designed to predict the quantity of TPHs remaining per time in TPHs contaminated areas during in-situ bioremediation. The model can be used to monitor the progress of soil remediation by monitoring TPHs residual concentration per time. Comparing the results of the experimental and modelling, shows that the new model is valid and reliable for monitoring the progress of any batch phytoremediation process of TPHs contaminated soils.
