چکیده مقاله:

In this research, the microstructure and corrosion behavior of ۳۱۶Ti austenitic stainlesssteel weld joints in sugarcane syrup with and without the presence of SO۲ gas attemperatures of ۲۵۰°C and ۷۵۰°C were investigated. Microscopic studies showed that themicrostructure of the weld metal consists of an austenitic matrix with skeletal ferrite andsome titanium carbide (TiC). It was found that the fusion line has good continuity and nocracks or discontinuities. The results of the corrosion tests showed that the ۳۱۶L weldmetal was passivated in both sugar cane solutions with and without gas. It was found thatas the temperature increased from ۲۵°C to ۷۵°C, the pitting corrosion resistancedecreased drastically, and the alloy could not repassivate itself. The results showed thatthe addition of SO۲ gas decreased the corrosion resistance at both temperatures of ۲۵˚Cand ۷۵˚C
