چکیده مقاله:

In this research, the microstructure and corrosion resistance of weld metal of dual-phasestainless steel ۲۲۰۵ were investigated. Welding was done with GTAW and ER۲۲۰۹welding wire and SMAW with E۲۲۰۹ electrode. The microstructure of welding metalswas investigated using cyclic dynamic potential test in sugarcane juice solution with andwithout SO۲ gas at ۲۵ C and ۷۵C. The microstructure of both weld metals was observedas two-phase austenitic-ferritic along with secondary phases of Cr۲N chromium nitrideand secondary austenite. Impurity particles were observed in the E۲۲۰۹ weld metal fromthe SMAW process. The results ofthe cyclic polarization corrosion test showed that bothweld metals passivate themselves well at a temperature of ۲۵°C in sugarcane juicesolution with and without SO۲ gas, and in case of damage to the passive protective film,they are able to repassivate themselves and form a protective film. It was found that withincreasing temperature, especially in the presence of SO۲ gas, the pitting resistance ofboth weld metals has decreased. The presence of SO۲ gas showed a decrease in pittingpotential at both temperatures of ۲۵ C and ۷۵ C. E۲۲۰۹ weld metal presented bettercorrosion behavior than ER۲۲۰۹ weld metal at both temperatures of ۲۵ C and۷۵ C with and without the presence ofSO۲ gas.
