چکیده مقاله:

One of the main challenges facing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) treatment and prevention programs is the low detection rate. With all the advances in the field of HIV diagnosis, about a quarter of infected people still do not know about their infection. According to global statistics, about thirty-nine million nine hundred thousand people were infected with the HIV virus in ۲۰۱۷. Among them, about one million eight hundred thousand people were children, many of whom acquired the virus from their mothers during pregnancy, breastfeeding or during childbirth. In ۲۰۱۷, about ۹۴۰,۰۰۰ people died from AIDS-related diseases. Iran has the largest number of people with HIV among the countries of Central Asia and North Africa (about ۷۵,۷۰۰ people), of which only a third of them know about their disease. Here, I will discuss the molecular basis of early HIV diagnosis techniques.
